5 tips on working from home

The pandemic coronavirus has made a global change in the business environment, more precisely, for a lucky group of people I would say, working from home has suddenly become a super option. If I were to be a little cheeky, I could even say that many employers might have realized about this option sooner, because we live in the age of technology.

. We live in a world where, with just a single video call, you can see your loved ones from another city. We live in a world where, with just a few clicks, you work in real time with a colleague from a distance. And the list can go on. But this transition (office versus home) is not easy for everyone. Stay with me to discover 5 tips on working from home in the following paragraphs:

1. Stick to Your Usual Work Program

I know, the fact that you no longer have to go to work could mean more hours of sleep. But, by starting later to work, you will give your "work clock" a punch in the face. We are social beings used to living by certain patterns, so if you used to start your program at 9 o'clock in the morning with a coffee next to you, don't hesitate to continue doing the same. In the context of coronavirus, it is beneficial to follow the same habits, but within our homes.

2. Use Different Objects to Boost Your Productivity

I am fond of beautiful places and things. And I think a pleasant environment helps you be more productive. So, besides having your notebook, laptop and phone on the desk, you could add other small details such as a scented candle, a decorative plant (even an artificial one if you don't know how to take care of flowers), a poster with a motivational quote. 3. Plan Breaks

Or don't forget, however, to take breaks. Being in an environment that isn't like the one in the office, there is a big possibility that you don't take as many breaks as you should. Specifically, if at the office you used to talk to colleagues or go out for coffee, now you are probably replacing these habits with working even more.

Plan breaks if you can and enjoy them. A peaceful mind is more productive than a stressed one.

4. Communicate with Co-workers

Don't wait to be contacted. If you have questions or a colleague could help you with a task, feel free to contact him / her. It's essential to create an environment similar to the one at the office, and communication helps a lot in this regard. Moreover, by doing so, you could find out another view that could put a task in a completely different light for you.

5. Don't Stay in Pajamas All-Day Long

Although they are very comfortable, pajamas are associated with your brain with sleep, laziness, relaxing times. You may not have the same performance as when you are dressed in office pieces. Experts think you should dress just like when you go to the office, but I find that a pair of training pants is more comfortable than a pair of office pants.
