Purple has made a huge comeback to the fashion universe. This color has been around for a long time now, but it has been pretty shy in the past few months. Other shades like lavender and indigo stole the show. This season though, designers chose to let purple shine again. So today I’m going to share with you guys how to wear the IT color of the moment. Let’s begin! how to wear the IT color of the moment. Let's start!
A Few Words About Purple
In its most intense hue, purple represents a royal color. Therefore, a sophisticated purple outfit expresses status and richness. According to studies, violet has the shortest wavelength of all colors, it is the last color we perceive and therefore it connects with a higher dimension, with the universe.
For this reason, people with a spiritual vocation or those who like to meditate prefer to be surrounded by this color. Rich, intense and special, this color pumps sophistication to any outfit.
What Colors Work Great with Purple
1. Purple and bright yellow
It's exactly the combination that I chose for today's outfit. It was love at first sight with the blazer I'm wearing in the pictures. Its structured tailoring, along with that vibrant shade of purple and big golden buttons make this jacket a must-have piece for any closet. I chose to make a contrast by adding yellow heels. To balance these two strong shades, I kept the rest of the outfit as simple as possible: a pair of black office pants, a classic white shirt, and a stylish mini bag.
2. Purple and green
Like in the combination above, purple and green make a good team together. The elegance of purple blends harmoniously with the balance of green. For this combination to be as successful as possible, I recommend intense shades of green like chartreuse green, emerald green, and parakeet green.
Monochrome combinations are gaining more fans every day, and this should not come as a surprise. They easily stand out in a crowd, and they are easy to create. I recommend two-piece suits like a blouse with a skirt, a blouse with a pair of pants, a dress with a jacket and the list goes on.
4. Purple and pink
It would be a pity not to mention this combination that became famous in the Barbie era when little girls were obsessively wearing purple and pink together. But, unlike that era, nowadays you can create a sophisticated outfit with these colors so that it looks modern.
5. Purple and blue
Purple is the successful mathematical combination of blue and red. Therefore, if you choose to combine purple with blue, the resulting outfit will be more than chromatically harmonious. Because both are two cool colors, a white piece such as a shirt does wonders.
