Winter isn't my favorite season. In fact, the only month I like during winter is December, due to Christmas and New Year's holidays, but on the other months ... (Thank God it's Valentine's Day in February!). However, one thing I like most about winter is the fluffy sweaters. I could wear fluffy sweaters daily and I wouldn't get bored! Raise your hand if you agree with me! Join me today to find out what the best winter sweaters are and how to wear them in style (or how I like to call it - weather sweater):
As you may have probably noticed above, fluffy sweaters are my first choice for a cold winter day. Beyond the fact that it keeps you warm, I like that they have an unexpected versatility. For example, today I chose to wear a dusty pink fluffy sweater over a pair of skinny jeans. But such a sweater would also work well over a high-waisted skirt or a long satin dress (such as this one). I would recommend choosing sweaters in neutral tones (beige, white, gray) or pastel colors (pink, light blue or light green) to be in contrast to the dull weather outside.
Give me a turtleneck and I don't need anything more! Really, I'm not kidding. The turtleneck is a holy piece in a closet. And if anyone thinks otherwise, I have at least 10 arguments ready to support my statement. Back to the subject, a turtleneck can be worn:
- as a stand-alone piece;
- under a jacket;
- under a sleeveless jacket;
- underneath a V-neckline dress;
You got my point. Below, I have selected some of my favorite turtlenecks.
SWEATERS WITH A Modern TWIST
Whether we're talking about puff sleeves (a trend that has already gone viral), bell sleeves, or asymmetrical cuts, you have a lot of options out there to help you get over the cold weather. Personally, I love puff sleeves! and here you can see an example of how I wore such a sweater in style. As in the case of fluffy sweaters, you can also wear these sweaters with pants, skirts or over another piece of clothing.
SWEATERS WITH INSERTIONS
Feathers, buttons, fur and other decorative elements bring a new vision into the fashion universe. Let me tell you a secret! Are you ready? Feathers will be a huge trend in 2020. I noticed them during SSFW 'shows and although they are not among my favorites (I find them kinda unnecessary), they bring some freshness. On the opposite side, buttons and pearls seem to me to harmoniously adorn a piece of clothing and give it an elevated look.
